NOTICE OF PUBLIC INFORMATION SESSION

LONG TERM CARE RATE FILING

INSURANCE COMMISSIONER KAREN WELDIN STEWART, CIR-ML, hereby gives notice that a PUBLIC INFORMATION SESSION will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2011, between 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm., at the Department of Insurance, 841 Silver Lake Blvd, Dover, DE  19904.
John Hancock Life Insurance Company (“John Hancock”) has filed a Long Term Care rate filing, pursuant to Administrative Code Regulation 1404, section 20.0 Long Term Care Insurance, Premium Rate Schedule Increases.

Members of the public may view this filing in advance of the session by coming to the Delaware Department of Insurance Dover Office, located at 841 Silver Lake Boulevard, between 8:30 am and 4 pm, Monday through Friday (excluding holidays), or by going on-line at:
http://www.delawareinsurance.gov/departments/rates/ratefilings-JohnHancock.shtml.

The purpose of the session is to allow for public comments and information regarding the John Hancock Long Term Care rate filing.
Comments are being solicited from the public.  Comments may be in writing or may be presented orally at the December 28th public information session.  Written comments must be received no later than Tuesday, December 27, 2011, by 4 p.m., and should be addressed to the attention of Rhonda West, Regulatory Specialist, Delaware Department of Insurance, 841 Silver Lake Boulevard, Dover, DE 19904; or via E-mail:  Rhonda.West@state.de.us.
