Dover, DE – Because of the increasing number of captive insurers domiciling and re-domesticating to Delaware, Insurance Commissioner Karen Weldin Stewart unveiled a new and improved website.  “The success of the Bureau of Captive and Financial Insurance Products in licensing new captives and the interest shown in Delaware as a captive domicile necessitated an upgrade to what I refer to as our business card to the world.  Delaware has a long-standing reputation as a global state and our website reflects this.” 

The upgrades include easier access to documents regarding annual filing requirements, an explanation of the Delaware Advantage, and biographies for the captive staff.  The new URL is http://captive.delawareinsurance.gov.
