NOTICE REGARDING THE USE OF BARCODES ON PREMIUM TAX & FEES REPORTS
For the past several years, the Delaware Insurance Department has required barcodes to be affixed to all premium tax and fees reports, both annual and quarterly.
BEGINNING WITH THE CALENDAR YEAR 2002 TAX FILING (DUE MARCH 1, 2003), USE OF BARCODES IS NO LONGER REQUIRED ON ANY PREMIUM TAX RELATED DOCUMENTS.
However, State of Delaware and N.A.I.C. instructions do require the use of barcodes on annual statement and other financial reports. Please refer to the annual statement filing requirements checklist for details.
